We went into our archives and found our original interview with Dr. Cosette Stahl from September 2018. We like reading up on our doctors; it’s a good reminder of what a great team we have. Meet the Doctors: Cosette Stahl, DO, Vascular and Interventional Radiologist.
MEET THE DOCTORS IS OUR ONGOING SERIES OF INTERVIEWS FEATURING THE TALENTED PEOPLE BEHIND THE MEDICINE AT RADIOLOGY IMAGING ASSOCIATES AND INVISION SALLY JOBE.
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a physician. Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to serving the community have been integral to my pursuit of a medical career. During medical training, I discovered my passion for anatomy and minimally invasive procedures, which led me to seek advanced training in interventional radiology.
What do you like most about your job?
I find interventional radiology fascinating, as it provides subspecialty expertise in minimally invasive procedures, yet provides that service to all patient populations. One day I am treating a patient with liver cancer by administering chemotherapy through arteries, and another day I am taking care of an acutely ill trauma patient. Interventional radiologists interact with all medical specialties, allowing for excellent multidisciplinary care for our patients.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
When I am not at work, I enjoy exploring all that Colorado has to offer. Skiing, cycling, hiking, yoga and cooking are all passions. I also enjoy spending time with my family and poodle.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
I am blessed to work alongside such passionate and intelligent physicians on a daily basis. I am continually learning from my peers and colleagues and appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with them. I believe we provide excellent medical and compassionate care to our patients and community.
