Just when Julie M. thought there was no hope, she was referred to RIA Endovascular by our partners at Porter Adventist Hospital. Her life changed after that.
I was diagnosed with peripheral arterial disease a while back. I went to a vascular surgeon and unfortunately had a very poor outcome. I honestly thought that there was no hope in me ever recovering and that I would never have a “normal” life. I ended up getting an infection after my surgery, and that led me to the wound center at Porter Hospital. They referred me over to RIA Endovascular, and that is where I met Dr. Will Grande.
I could not believe how much he comforted me right from the start just by the way he spoke to me. I felt completely at ease for the first time in a very long time. He took his time explaining everything and even drew pictures so that I knew which arteries were blocked. I had been in horrible pain and couldn’t walk for any distance at all. He seemed to really care that I was in pain and wanted to make things better. He answered all of my questions and took a ton of time with me prior to my procedure.
Finally, I did have the angiogram procedure done, and it was a success! My leg pain decreased dramatically right away. Before the procedure, I had given up completely on life. I have a brand-new attitude now after Dr. Grande took care of me. My outlook on life is now bright. I’m so excited to feel better and to spend time with family, including my five beautiful grandchildren. I couldn’t even drive before the procedure, and now, not only can I drive, but I can also go shop for myself. It’s amazing the little things you take for granted. It is great to have my independence back. I highly recommend RIA Endovascular and Dr. Will Grande. He saved my life.
