How, when, and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
I have always had a great interest in biology, which quickly turned into an interest in medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse, I worked in various hospitals and rehab facilities and realized my passion for patient care. I decided to complete my MSN with the intention of becoming a nurse practitioner because I enjoy working with people to improve their health and wellness.
What do you like most about your job?
Interventional Radiology is unique in that we work with a such wide variety of patients and are able to collaborate with so many other specialties, which I really enjoy. I also enjoy caring for people both in the hospital during acute illness as well as long-term in the clinic setting.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling whenever I can, and spending time outdoors with my dog and husband. We love taking advantage of all the activities Colorado has to offer year-round.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
I'm privileged to work alongside a group of such talented and dedicated physicians and staff, each with unique expertise and interests. We are a very collaborative group and I learn every day in my work.
