Meet Gregory Martin, MD, Vascular and Interventional Radiologist

How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?

I have always loved science and problem solving. Even though I always felt like medicine was in my future, I studied chemical engineering in college. Studying engineering gave me excellent training in how to think and solve problems, however, I wanted a job that would allow me to impact someone’s life in a direct way. Medicine, and in particular Interventional Radiology, gives me that opportunity.

What do you like most about your job? 

The ability to help someone in a direct and substantial way.

What is your favorite way to spend free time (away from work)? 

Spend time with my wife and 4 children as well as golfing, snowboarding and reading.

What do you like most about working at RIA? 

The wonderful interventional radiology partners I work with every day. I would trust any of them to treat one of my family members, if the need arose.
