Getting to know our doctors is one of the best parts about being on the RIA Endovascular team. Now you can get to know them as well.
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
I knew when I started college I would be making a decision about engineering versus medicine. I started college studying electrical engineering with a minor in bioengineering. I quickly realized I much preferred interaction with people instead of machines. I wanted to work with technology and people. Interventional radiology was the fit for me.
What do you like most about your job?
My favorite part of my job is helping people. The people I care for have often been told there is nothing else that can be done for them. I am happy to help them maintain a better quality of life. I also enjoy being innovative and finding minimally invasive ways to help people.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
I like getting outdoors in the beautiful state of Colorado or anywhere I can travel. I enjoy both mountain and road biking. I am also a foodie! I enjoy checking new local restaurants with friends and family.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
My colleagues and the staff are the biggest reason I am at RIA. It is a supportive environment where we care for our patients and always put them first.
