Meet the Doctors: Samuel Ahn, MD

We loved talking with Samuel Ahn, MD, about why he chose interventional radiology and, specifically, why he loves working at RIA Endovascular.

How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?

When applying to colleges, I applied to a six-year combined BA/MD program after hearing about the program from one of my dad’s coworkers. After being accepted, I thought being a physician would be interesting and challenging and would provide a secure future.

What do you like most about your job?

I mostly like the unique challenges IR presents on a daily basis. Every day is different.

What is your favorite way to spend free time?

My favorite way to spend free time is heading up to the mountains with my sons.

What do you like most about working at RIA?

The collegiality between the RIA interventionalists is what I like most about working at RIA.
