We’re happy to introduce you to nurse practitioner Kimi Hart. We had questions for her and learned a lot about her love of medicine.
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
I have always had an interest in health care and wanted to choose a career that was challenging and rewarding. I fell in love with critical care medicine during my nursing school clinicals and was an ICU nurse for six years before pursuing a graduate degree. I have been practicing as an acute care nurse practitioner since 2019 and feel very fortunate to have this career.
What do you like most about your job?
I love working alongside the talented and knowledgeable physicians, APPs and clinical staff. Interventional radiology is a fascinating field and provides patients minimally invasive options for diagnostic and treatment plans. I like the collaboration with other providers to provide the best option for our patients.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
We moved to Colorado from Kentucky about two-and-a-half years ago, so we enjoy exploring all the Colorado towns and hiking.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
I feel privileged to be working alongside the incredible providers, APPs and clinical staff. I feel I am part of a unique and specialized field that provides an invaluable service to our patients.
