We asked Lexi B., medical assistant at RIA Endovascular, what makes working with our team so special.
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
After high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. A friend of mine that works in the medical field suggested I look into becoming a medical assistant. This was a great fit for me because I have always enjoyed helping people. I truly care about my patients and always give them the best possible care I can deliver.
What is your favorite way to spend free time?
I recently married my husband, Scott. Yay! We have a great time enjoying everything the city has to offer. Shopping and going out to eat is always on our list of things to do. I also enjoy spending time with my stepdaughter. We have fun shopping … especially at Target!
What do you like most about working at RIA?
Being a medical assistant at RIA Endovascular gives me the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides patient-centered care. I enjoy collaborating with my coworkers and learning new things. I was a CNA in a local hospital before I came to RIA Endovascular. One of the reasons I am happy I made the move to RIA is because of my increased responsibilities. I am able to work side by side with our interventional radiologists when treating our vein patients. I also really like working with my best friend, Sierra. Having fun at work is something I really appreciate. Plus I get to work for the best boss ever. Derek is awesome!
