Michael Rose, Interventional Radiology Technologist

How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?

My interest into the medical field was peaked when I was 13 years old, after breaking my elbow in an accident. I was required to have many x-ray’s and follow up x-ray’s of the elbow joint and this exposure to the imaging field set me on a lifelong medical path.

What do you like most about your job? 

After spending 13 years working in hospitals and now at RIA Endovascular, I love the fact that we’re able to provide the same level of high quality interventional radiology procedures that you’d normally find in a hospital setting, yet in a much more personal and intimate setting – and at a fraction of the cost of hospitals!

What is your favorite way to spend free time (away from work)? 

I enjoy spending time outside of work with my wife and our two standard poodles. We like to take hikes and bike during the summer and stay warm during the winter!

What do you like most about working at RIA? 

I enjoy the staff at RIA as they truly feel like family and being able to offer interventional radiology procedures to the public in a non-hospital setting.
