MEET YOUR CARE TEAM IS OUR ONGOING SERIES OF INTERVIEWS FEATURING THE TALENTED PEOPLE BEHIND THE MEDICINE AT RADIOLOGY IMAGING ASSOCIATES AND INVISION SALLY JOBE.
Meet Patricia Petrosky, Nurse Practitioner
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
I always knew I wanted to work in the healthcare field and originally thought I wanted to be a physical therapist. I earned my first degree in Kinesiology which combined some science, and a little bit of healthcare, with my love of sport. From there, I decided to pursue a degree in nursing, and then wanted to advance my knowledge and skills so pursued an advanced practice degree.
What do you like most about your job?
What I enjoy the most about my job is working alongside a truly outstanding group of providers and clinical staff. I like helping people and the challenge of Interventional Radiology as well, but it’s the people I work alongside that make the biggest difference to me.
What is your favorite way to spend free time (away from work)?
If I had my druthers, I’d spend my free time in the mountains, on horseback, with my family. However, that doesn’t happen all that often, so I enjoy doing almost anything with my family. We love doing things outside together.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
The people I work with. I enjoy the challenge, as well.
