Nishant Patel's Thoughts on Thyroid Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation of the thyroid is a minimally invasive procedure that treats thyroid nodules, which are lumps that form in your thyroid. These lumps may be solid or filled with fluid, and while many cause no symptoms, some can impact your appearance or ability to breathe. They can also cause hyperthyroidism.

It’s important to speak to your provider about thyroid nodules so they can ascertain whether there is a danger to your health. If removal is necessary, RFA is better able to target the growth while protecting your thyroid than other types of treatment.
