We interview Carol S. to find out about her experience at RIA Endovascular. By interviewing patients we are able to continually improve the patient experience and educate future patients on our procedures.
What problems were you having before you came to RIA Endovascular?
I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease. I am not on dialysis yet, but my nephrologist recommended Dr. Yee at RIA Endovascular. He wanted me to be prepared in case my disease continues to progress.
How did you discover RIA Endovascular?
My nephrologist wanted me to see Dr. Yee because he can perform a minimally invasive procedure to create my fistula.
I was excited to hear this because the thought of surgery made me very nervous.
What specific result did you like most about this procedure?
NO PAIN! I was very surprised at how easy everything about the procedure has been. I left the hospital with a few easy post procedure instructions and a band aid. I was thrilled.
How was your patient experience with the doctor and clinic stuff?
Dr. Yee’s physician assistant, Mark Laudermilk called the next day to check on me. He was so nice and helpful. I thought there was great communication from everyone. The clinic staff is outstanding and very accommodating. Dr. Yee was very pleasant. He answered all of my questions patiently and put my mind at ease.
What would you like to share with others?
I would highly recommend this outpatient procedure for three reasons: NO surgery, NO pain, NO recovery time.
