Patient Stories: Donna S. Receives Treatment at the Interventional Suite

Starting May 15, 2019 we will have an outpatient Interventional Suite at our RIA Endovascular Clinic located at the Centrum in DTC. Donna S. was one of the first patients to receive care at the new Interventional Suite.

I came into the RIA Interventional Suite for placement of a hemodialysis catheter and I was blown away by the experience. It was absolutely wonderful. It was easy to schedule my procedure. The front desk staff was welcoming and efficient. It took no time at all after I arrived for my care to begin. It seems unusual to not have a long wait time and this was great. I was walked back to a lovely admission room with a beautiful view of the city.

Dr. Kooy carefully explained the procedure to me. My fears were alleviated because I felt that there were no surprises. The procedure room also had a great view. I was able to look at the mountains and actually saw a helicopter in the sky to distract me!

I would recommend the RIA Interventional Suite because of my positive experience. I will absolutely request to return if there is I need any minimally invasive procedures in the future.
