What brought you to RIA Endovascular?
My daughter Jessica was having severe pain and swelling in her legs due to DVT blood clots and total occlusion of both femoral veins. She was diagnosed with May Thurner Syndrome. Surgeons made two attempts of recanalization in Oregon where we live; both were unsuccessful. With her quality of life diminishing, her radiologist recommended we contact RIA Endovascular in Denver.
How was your experience with RIA Endovascular?
We were able to set up a telemedicine consult with Dr. Pete Stratil. His staff was so helpful with getting everything set up and Dr. Stratil was wonderful. He put us at ease and gave us some hope. He was confident in what he could do. He answered all our questions, which before this were left unanswered. So, we flew to Denver and met Dr. Stratil and his staff. They were so comforting, knowledgeable and reassuring. The next day was the procedure and it went GREAT!! Dr. Stratil did an incredible job. He got through the occlusions and was able to use balloons and stents to open the veins.
What would you tell people about your RIA experience?
We are so grateful that everything went well. Dr. Stratil and his team were determined and positive throughout the long procedure. My daughter can finally do the things she was missing. She got her quality of life back and her legs match her petite body again. Dr. Stratil did an amazing job. We have never felt so at ease with a doctor and his staff. The level of care and kindness was amazing. We felt so much confidence and support from the entire team. Even returning home to Oregon, we know that if we need anything they will be there for us. Such a wonderful and successful experience.
