Hearing from our patients and learning from their experiences makes us even better. Laurie A. tells us all about her experience with the RIA team.
What brought you to RIA Endovascular?
I originally had a diagnosis of colon cancer. Years ago I had a TIPS procedure done by Dr. Yee. I regularly get checkups to make sure everything is going well. The latest follow up showed esophageal varices and I was told I needed to get checked out by Dr. Yee to see if there was anything he could do. I had a TIPS revision done at RIA endovascular. They were able to put in 13 coils to repair any esophageal varices. Next steps are to follow up with my gastroenterologist. This is great news!
How was your RIA Endovascular experience?
I was pleased that everything went so smoothly. Because I live in Wyoming, Dr. Yee was able to do a telephone consult with me to find out if it was even worth me coming to Denver for the procedure. The clinic was very accommodating. The staff even told us which hotel to stay in and they gave us a discounted rate. We stayed in town a couple of days and so this was very helpful.
Excellent care and simple things like this were the reason I wanted to go to RIA Endovascular for follow up. Nurse Jessica was also fantastic. I was nervous about not having general anesthesia for my procedure. I knew I was going to be given conscious sedation but wasn’t sure of what to expect. Jessica obviously knew what she was doing. I was pain free throughout the entire procedure.
What would you tell others about RIA Endovascular?
I can’t say enough good things about the staff at RIA Endovascular. I’m so lucky to have found them years ago and will continue to see Dr. Yee as needed. I would never go anywhere else for my care.
